Luton Airport Flight Path Plan

Message from Wrestlingworth & Cockayne Hatley Parish Council

Dear Residents,
The Parish Council has recently become aware of an ongoing consultation that we feel it is important to bring to your attention.
Please share this communication with your friends & neighbours.
As some of you may already know, London Luton Airport (LLA) and National Air Traffic Service (NATS) are looking to create a new LLA specific ‘stack’ for aircraft coming in to land at Luton and are proposing two options regarding the routes aircraft will take from the new stack (which is over St Neots). Both of these routes will result in nearly all aircraft landing at Luton coming over Wrestlingworth & Cockayne Hatley.
This is projected to be some 300 aircraft a day at a height of some 7000 ft and the consultation document considers there will be considerable impact on our area. Full details of the proposals can be viewed by using the links below and there is also a link to the consultation document.

We would encourage residents to acquaint themselves with the proposal and respond to the consultation. You may also consider contacting our MP, Richard Fuller, who we understand has already written to Transport Secretary, Grant Shapps regarding his concerns over the proposal. The Parish Council would appreciate being copied in to any correspondence sent.

For information, The Parish Council will be finalising our response to the consultation at our January meeting.
